About Therapy
Philosophy and Approach
I have had extensive training in long-term, insight-oriented psychotherapy and have spent over 25 years teaching the fundamentals of psychotherapy to graduate students, psychiatry residents, and therapists in the community.
My work is a blend of traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy with direct and practical approaches to change. I believe change can happen quickly and that psychotherapy can be a powerful vehicle for people once they identify the source of their difficulties. I move rather quickly to create the conditions where change can occur. My work is intense, interactive, lively, and gratifying for my patients as well as for me.
